Just a little update on Elizabeth also known as our little Twiddle Dee.She has adjusted so well in such a short time. She's only timid anymore if approached suddenly. The other cats & dogs seem to realize that she's only a baby or has a handicap (and I'll use that word lightly) so they look out for her and let her have her way.She is so nosy and quite a talker. At mealtime we hear her before we see her.She has also turned into a little piglet.."luvs that Friskies with gravy".She also likes to lay on my chair and help me knit.I keep thinking about the woman on facebook who thought "animals in that condition should be put down".If she could only see her now! There is not a day goes by that I don't hold her and tell her that no one is ever going to hurt her again..that those days are over.Thank you SHAID for Elizabeth.
Update #2
Here are some pictures of our little Elizabeth--quite at home and happy as can be. She has fit right in with the other cats and dogs; as if she has always been here. She has no trouble keeping up with them and we sometimes forget who has the 'handicap'. The only time we miss the leg is when she tries to scratch her ear and that little paw is gone. That's when we have a few choice words for the one that let this happen to her.
She is also quite a little talker--lots of stories to tell. She loves to lay by the window and watch the birds and to help with whatever we are doing. she's very clean--always grooming herself and never has failed to use the litter box.
All in all she's a 'purrfect' little girl and for sure in her 'furever home'! |
