The S.H.A.I.D. Tree Shelter Society provides temporary care and shelter to helpless animals in distress, be they abandoned, homeless or relinquished and we place as many as possible into responsible and caring homes.
S.H.A.I.D., standing for Sheltering Helpless Animals In Distress, is a small, privately run shelter located near Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Over the years, S.H.A.I.D. has evolved into a no kill shelter where animals do not have time limits and are only euthanized for serious medical conditions or severe aggression issues, making them unadoptable.
The shelter is located at 950 Mulloch Road just outside Bridgewater.
