A new group of cats has just completed its isolation period and has been moved into the adoption ward.
Ollie, a blue cream tortie
Penny - long haired gray, about 6 months - very sweet
Missie - Long haired gray and white
Gordie - long haired tabby male - about 6 months
Spoke - an adolescent, longhaired, red tabby male
Tasha - a calico short hair. This little girl came in with kittens. She is pregnant again and is headed for surgery (pregnant spay) tomorrow.
Leslie - gray long haired
Ava and Ellie are short haired tortie sisters. They are shy, but very affectionata and purry when they feel safe in your arms. These girls are adolescents - about 6 months.
Leonard, Trekie and Sheldon. These three cats are about 10 and qualify for the "Seniors for Seniors" plan - i.e. half price adoption to a senior seeking a companion. The owner of these cats died and her executor was left with over 30 cats. Unlike many, he has done his very best to find safe havens for these cats. Please try to make some provisions for bereaved pets in you will. Discuss it seriously with your family. You may be surprised by the number of people who will gladly take the money, house and car and euthanize, or even worse, dump, the pets. Give it some thought! SHAID is badly in need of litter at the moment. Non-clumping is much better and neater in cages. We are also short of dry cat kibble and kitten kibble. We currently have enough canned foods and dog food. Javex is always welcomed.
